I drive an old Chevy Astro Van and I usually take it to Yeck’s when it needs anything. I noticed a pool of power steering fluid on the ground under the van so I dropped it at a Firestone next to my work location for an estimate. They quoted me $2300 and a month to replace both front axels and some other joints. I was surprised since I was pretty sure it was leaking power steering fluid and a $2300 repair bill would not make sense to keep a 20+ year old vehicle running. I took the van to Yeck’s on the way home, they looked at it the next day and gave me an estimate of $1200 to fix other items not mentioned by Firestone, including the power steering pump; the axels are fine. Yeck’s got my van scheduled for Thursday of the following week, and I picked it up the next Tuesday - all done. It drives like new! I’m very happy I took it to Yecks. They also told me of a problem with the rear end that will require repair in the future but is not critical for what I use the van for. Service is overall excellent there, front office staff is friendly and knowledgeable too. Thanks all!
